The day is finally here. Big Brother Canada 9 has announced their official release date. For weeks, Big Brother Canada has teased the upcoming season, and now we know when it will air. Big Brother Canada 9 will premiere on March 3, 2021. We have exactly two short weeks before the new season starts.
Along with the release date announcement, Big Brother Canada released more details about the upcoming season. It will have an apocalyptic theme. Big Brother Canada 8 abruptly ended due to COVID-19. The $100,000 prize money then went to charity.
Big Brother Canada 9 is keeping its usual tradition: it will air three nights a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It’ll air at 7pm EST on Wednesdays 8pm EST on Thursday, and 9pm EST on Monday. Big Brother Canada 9 will also be the first season with host Arisa Cox as Executive Producer and a major increase of BIPOC representation.
Because of Big Brother Canada 8’s abrupt conclusion, many of the season 8 hopefuls felt their time was cut too short, and I think the Big Brother Canada team may agree. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see at least one Big Brother 8 cast member on Big Brother Canada 9. We only have two weeks to wait for Big Brother Canada 9 but the rumor mill has been in full force, with everything from All-Star rumors to Canada VsUS rumors. Because Big Brother Canada 9 starts in two weeks, we should find out the cast sometime next week. It’s officially happening guys, get excited!
