Say hello to your new host, Big Brother Canada fans. Arisa Cox has been crowned the queen of BBCA and counterpart to Julie Chen on BBUS.
Slice sat down with Arisa for her first interview as the new host, but you’ll need to be north of the border to watch it on their site.
As far as her background, Arisa’s resume is long on the experience:
Arisa is no stranger to either side of the camera. She’s an entertainment host, producer, pop culture commentator, journalist, actor, writer and she even starred in the Disney hit Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam!
With more than a decade’s worth of experience, you can expect her to pull out those expert red carpet interviewing skills to get you all the dirt from within the Big Brother Canada house.
I’m glad they mentioned her “Camp Rock 2” movie by name. Gotta be sure to capture all the crossover market for Disney teeny-bopper movies and the Big Brother house.
Check out this super quick clip with Slice promising this will be “the coolest season ever!” Well, yes, I guess as the first season it’ll be the -est of a lot of things.
We told you there would be Big Brother Canada Live Feeds and now we have another confirmation to our claim. Shaw Media announced today that yes, there would be feeds available for BBCA and even bigger than that is that these Live Feeds would be FREE. Yep, no cost. Here’s what Shaw and Slice TV had to say:
For those who just can’t get enough of the goings on inside the Big Brother Canada house Bigbrothercanada.ca will offer a free 24 hour live feed available for streaming daily following the series premiere on February 27th.
Big Brother Canada will also look to expand upon the online experience for viewers by letting them “eavesdrop on the houseguests 24 hours a day, vote on twists and turns, engage with the houseguests and play the Big Brother Canada Power Play game for points, prizes and power.”
The press release frequently references “Canadians fans” interacting in all of these exciting online opportunities. That’s got me thinking we’re going to see geographic restrictions on these features which is going to be pretty disappointing for US fans, but not surprising. You can read the full press release here.
So get ready, Big Brother Canada viewers for the February 27th premiere because this looks like a great season heading your way.
Before Big Brother US fans get too upset that they still have to pay for their Feeds it’s worth noting that the first year of BBUS also featured free Feeds.

A big question has been answered for the upcoming Big Brother Canada series: will there be Live Feeds? The answer is: yes!
Fans of Big Brother Canada will be able to connect with the series outside of the 3-day-a-week broadcast through a myriad of digital extensions including live streaming and social engagement opportunities that allow online users to impact decisions in the house.
So not only will there be Feeds but also various social media events that will directly impact the game and its players. Hopefully that means something a little more meaningful than picking their Have-Not food of the week, but we shall see.
Do you plan on getting Big Brother Canada Live Feeds? We can’t wait to see what Slice releases next for the quickly approaching BBCA season premiere!
The Big Brother Canada premiere date has been set and now it’s time for Slice, its host channel, to promote the heck out of it. Here’s a new commercial from Slice doing just that with familiar faces Mike Boogie (BB2, BB7, & BB14) and Dr. Will Kirby (BB2 & BB7).
Boogie and Dr. Will are back with their old phone call gag and seem pretty excited about the new Big Brother Canada series. You know what I’m not excited about? The possibility of Big Brother US retreads showing up not just in commercials, but in the house too. Considering BBUS can’t stop doing it the idea is seemingly plausible.
What do you think? Would BBUS players be welcome in the game this premiere season or should Slice stick to an all new cast of Houseguests for BBCA?
Get ready for Big Brother Canada! Slice has just announced their BBCA variant will premiere on Wednesday, February 27th. Not only that but we got the bonus news that yes, there will be “After Dark” available for Slice’s audience every single night.
“After Dark” might be running every night but the regular Big Brother Canada episodes will air on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays which matches with the US’ Big Brother approach in recent seasons.
Get yourself ready for the debut season by checking out the latest house construction photos released by Slice. Yes, that’s a pool in the picture here and it’s indoors. That means the “outdoors” will be all contained in the set but will feature a very cool lighting system to simulate natural light.
No word yet on who has been selected for the Big Brother Canada host but we’ll keep listening for more insider rumors and see what we can share with you on that.
