Big Brother Canada 5 starts tonight on Global with the season premiere featuring sixteen Houseguests including eight familiar faces and eight more new players pitted in a battle across “space and time.” Well, really it’s just a few months but let’s go with the theme.

Big Brother Canada premieres March 15th on Global

With the BBCAN5 house revealed we’ve been introduced to the season 5 theme of a space odyssey for the BBCAN HGs as they’ll be playing in a game twisted around what’s promised to be a not-so linear season. I’ve got no idea.

Houseguests moved in over the weekend and have been hard at work with at least the first HoH competition already completed and probably lots more with nominations and Veto as they could be preparing for the first eviction on Thursday. We don’t know for sure if that’ll happen but I wouldn’t be surprised to see one or two go in the first few nights.

If you haven’t met the BBCAN5 cast yet then be sure to go through the roster and see who we’ve got to watch this season. The returning players list is overall a great group of players and I definitely wouldn’t want to be one of the newbies up against them. Lambs being led to slaughter, I fear, but maybe they’ll pull off a few surprises of their own and take things in their own direction.

Fans in Canada will be able to watch Big Brother Canada on Global at 9/8c tonight directly but international fans will have plenty of options too. There will be plenty of streaming options for fans to watch and we’ll try to share those as they are confirmed. If you have a Roku device then you can add the very inexpensive ($1.99/mo) CanadaTV channel and use that for live streaming on your TV just like you lived in Canada. That was my go-to last season and it worked perfectly.

Live Feeds may not start until after Thursday’s show (8/7c) but when they do there are two main options for international fans. Viewers in Canada can go straight to GlobalTV’s BBCAN website and watch the free Feeds (with commercial interruptions). Fans outside of Canada can either fire up a VPN and set their location to Canada or you can get the spectacular BBViewer which would be my recommendation. It’s free, easy, and a wonderful interface to the Feeds whether or not you’re located in Canada.

We’ll be setting up shop here tonight for the 9PM ET premiere and I hope you’ll join us live for our coverage to chat with other fans throughout the Big Brother Canada 5 debut episode. You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter, and get our Email Updates for more BBCAN5 spoilers and news all season!
