Big Brother Canada 11: Digital Dailies Highlights (03/16/23)

Big Brother Canada 11 gave us very short Digital Dailies to tie us over until Monday. It shows us some of the things that happen after Thursday’s Head of Household competition. My biggest takeaway from this one is that Dan must not really be playing the game. He must be just going with the flow and seeing what happens in the Big Brother Canada 11 house. There are so many conversations about him, but he was barely seen on these Digital Dailies.

When he is seen, he is just listening to others’ conversations. Because it doesn’t seem like Dan is playing yet, the houseguests have a lot of fear for this week. Dan is a bit of a wildcard but it doesn’t seem like he is in the exciting game way where anything can happen.

There seems to be a limited amount of possibilities for this week’s Big Brother Canada 11 week.

Everyone Fears The Uncertainty Of The New Head of Household

The Digital Dailies start with Shanaya and Claudia discussing Dan becoming the new HOH. Neither of them feel comfortable with him in power. They also talk about how upset the men were about not winning this Head of Household, some even broke down because of it. From other conversations, Kuzie apparently is the woman that performed the best during the HOH competition, but, as expected, it was a competition more geared toward the men.

The top five finishers (in this order) were: Dan, Rob, Ty, Jonathan, and Hope. All the top five finishers got over 1,000 points but Dan was the only one to score over 2,000 points. He won by a lot apparently.

Rob talks to Jonathan about why he was upset. He really wanted to win HOH but also feels like this competition was made for him. He also didn’t like showing his physical competition prowess without an actual win.

Most of the Digital Dailies conversations are about fears about Dan’s target and nominees, especially from Anika, Daniel, and Kuzie. The most that they can hope is that Dan takes a shot at Santina because she nominated him last week, or that he takes out another physical threat.

However, Anika notes that Santina has now begun flirting with Dan. Anika lists herself, Santina, Kuzie, Hope, Rob, and Ty as the players most likely to be Dan’s targets or nominees. She also mentions that Dan has a crush on Shanaya — which Zach says as well on Thursday’s Digital Dailies.

Anika believes that maybe he could go after Rob as a romantic rival. One thing most players believe is that this will be another Zach Head of Household. They believe that Dan will go after whoever Zach wants him to go after because Zach will be able to influence him the same way he did with Santina’s HOH nominations and targets.

And I believe the same but let’s hope that Dan surprises us all. Clearly, we know that Zach and Ty want Rob gone, so they may use this week to try to make it happen, likely via another backdoor.

Eviction Regrets

Rob tells Jonathan that maybe they took out the wrong person this week by evicting John Michael, especially considering how good Dan is in competitions.

A few players, including Daniel and Shanaya, talk about how sad they were to see JM go. Daniel also mentions that he wants to see an LGBTQ+ person of color win the show. Therefore, he felt bad voting out the only other LGBTQ+ person of color.

Shanaya also says that it didn’t feel great to take out a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a person of color.

Anika and Kuzie also talk about a conversation with Zach where he mentioned that Kuzie was close with John Michael and may have voted for him if he got the numbers to stay. Zach expressed that this may make Kuzie one of Dan’s potential targets. Daniel also worries that his friendship with JM may put him on Dan’s radar.

Vanessa and Anika also have a conversation where Vanessa says that Zach was trying to hurt JM’s character by saying he said mean things. Vanessa didn’t like that and called out Zach for doing that, especially now that JM is gone and can’t defend himself.

A Handshake Veto Promise

Hope, Anika, and Daniel have some game conversations while playing pool. Anika asks Hope to try to talk to Dan about keeping her off the Block. She doesn’t know where she stands with him, but she is worried that she may be a potential target for Dan.

Hope also volunteers to use the Veto on Anika or Daniel if either of them picks him to play in the Veto competition and are on the Block. Anika says that she will pick him for the Power of Veto competition if given the choice. Later, Hope also volunteers to use the Veto on Anika if they are both on the Block and he wins it. He gives her his hand to shake on the deal.

She is hesitant and Daniel tells her not to take the deal and hurt Hope’s game, but they eventually shake on the Veto deal.

There is no game talk from Dan, so we’ll find out more on Monday — unless BBCAN decides to give us Saturday and/or Sunday Digital Dailies. If I had to guess, Zach would convince Dan to target Rob. He may also nominate Kuzie and potentially Anika as initial nominees but Rob will be the target.
