Immediately things didn’t go as planned as Haleena Gill got her first competition win by winning this week’s Power of Veto Competition. Since Haleena and Kevin Jacobs are working close with Marty, they didn’t want to risk their ally going up and out the door, so they didn’t plan to use the Veto.
Haleena didn’t use the Veto during the Power of Veto Ceremony, but there was another opportunity for the Veto to help Gino’s backdoor plan. A Secret Power of Veto was unleashed into the house that could only be used during this week’s Power of Veto Ceremony.
That Veto was also not used, which made people speculate that Marty likely had the Secret Veto. However, while alone in the Head of Household room, Jacey-Lynne Graham revealed to Gino that she found the Secret Power of Veto. She also shared some details like where she found it.
As of writing this, we don’t know why she chose not to help Gino with his backdoor plan, especially because it would have been anonymous. Additionally, it’s a very risky move to not backdoor Marty after basically telling the whole house the plan.
Next week, I’m sure everyone is telling Marty he was the target, especially if he wins HOH. The only way I can see this not hurting Gino and Jacey-Lynne is if Jacey-Lynne admits to Marty that she won the Secret Veto and then lie about him never being the backdoor target. They could claim they told everyone that in case the Veto was won by one of the nominees Moose Bendago or Summer Sayles but they were always their true targets. She could claim that her not using the Veto proves this. We’ll have to see how this all plays out in the coming weeks.
Are you happy Jacey-Lynne would the Veto and didn’t use it? Do you think this decision will hurt or help Gino and her?
